Best WhatsApp Features 2023 : 7 Such Smart Tricks of WhatsApp

Best WhatsApp Features 2023: Instant messaging platform WhatsApp continuously brings new features for its crores of users. If you compare WhatsApp with the initial years of WhatsApp, then you will find that how much this app has changed from before.

The company has experienced significant change, particularly in the previous three years, which has altered our ability to interact and communicate. There are many such characteristics that the corporation has heavily pushed in the past, but there are also some such hidden features or less well-known aspects that are excellent but are not well known. Here I am telling you about 7 such features.

1. Change the look of your text (Format your text)

You must have often seen that some people bold some of their words during chatting, or strike them. You can also try this cool trick while chatting. If you want any text in bold, then you have to put asterisk ie * on both sides of it.

Ex:  *hello*

If some words are to be written in italics, then underscores ie _ will have to be applied on both sides of it.

Ex:  _Hello_

If you want to cut some words by writing, then you have to put tilde ~ on both sides of it.

Ex: ~Hello~

You just don't have to delete these symbols after typing, send it as it is, it will automatically be removed after sending.

2. You can check how much data is being used (Whatsapp Data Usage):

If you want to know how much data WhatsApp is using for voice conversations, images, and videos on your phone.

So go to Settings and click on Storage & Data. Now click on network uses. How much data is being consumed, it will be visible.

3. No one should know (Read Receipts):

Whatsapp gives you a chance to be in incognito mode. This feature has become a bit popular now. In this you have to turn off your read receipt. If you don't want the person in front of you to know if you've seen his message or not.

To disable read receipt, go to Settings and click on Account. Go to privacy in it. Now there will be a toggle button, swipe it left, your read receipt will be disabled.

4. Can delete large files from a chat (Deleting Large Files):

If you want to free up storage space, you can easily delete photos, videos and other files from a particular chat.

Go to Settings, click on Storage & Data.
Now click on Manage Storage, here you will see the list of your chats.
Now the chats whose large files are to be deleted will be visible.

If you have an iPhone, select the files you wish to remove by clicking the select button in the top right corner, and then hit the delete button in the bottom right corner.
To remove a file on an Android device, tap and hold the file until a checkmark appears. Then, hit the delete symbol in the top right corner.

5. Chats Wallpaper can also be changed for different chats (Chats Wallpaper) :

You must have come to change the wallpaper of the chat window of WhatsApp, but you might not know that you can set different wallpapers for different chats.

iPhone users have to open the chat window and tap on the contact with whom they want to change the wallpaper. Now tap on Wallpaper and sound and then tap on New Wallpaper. Now choose the wallpaper you want to set, tap on Set.

For Android, you have to click on the three dot menu above and then choose Wallpaper. Now select your wallpaper and set it.

6. Chat can also be emailed (Export Chat):

This is a very cool feature. You can entirely copy and paste a chat transcript if you want to save it with you permanently or move it to another device.
For this go to Settings and then click on Chats. Click on Export chat.

If you are an Android user, then you have to open Export Chat by clicking on Chat History first. Now select the chat you want to send to yourself. A pop-up will open, in which you will have to choose whether you want just text or media with the chat. After selecting it, select where you want to send the chat log and do it.

7. Switch to WiFi only to save data (Save Data with WiFi Only):

WhatsApp gives you the opportunity to customize your data usage. You can download large media files over WiFi to save data. If any big file comes from this, then your cellular data will not be spent in downloading.

To turn it on, go to Settings and click on Storage & Data. In the media auto-download section, you will see options, according to which you can choose which type of files will be downloaded on which network.
